Control Camera Rotation in the Punch App
Overview
We’ve added a new control in the Punch App that allows you to manage how the camera displays during employee punch-ins. This is especially helpful for kiosks or mounted tablets where the camera view may appear upside down or rotated.
By adjusting the camera rotation, you can ensure that employee photos display correctly regardless of how the device is positioned.
Why This Matters
Some devices mount in a fixed position (for example, on a wall or upside down), causing the camera image to appear rotated. With this new setting, you can easily correct the view without needing to physically adjust the device.
How It Works
When enabled, the Camera Rotation control lets you choose the correct orientation for your device’s camera. Once set, the app remembers your preference for all future punch-ins on that device.
Steps to Adjust the Camera Rotation
- Open the Punch App
- Click the (i) icon bottom right
- Select CAMERA SETTINGS

- Enable CAMERA CONTROLS

- Click the red ROTATE button at the bottom to rotate and save the new orientation.
- Click the back arrow (<) twice to leave settings.
Tips
- If your camera view appears sideways or upside down, try rotating 90°, 180°, or 270° until it displays correctly.
- This setting is stored per device, so if you have multiple kiosks, each can have its own camera orientation.
