What does the error “You are not connected to the server and we could not validate your credentials. Please fix this and try again.” mean?

First step, make sure the option is turned ON to allow employees to use the app to punch:

This error will happen if

  • You’re not connected to the internet – the device must connect to our server to push/pull data to punch in
  • On step 5 here the company ID is missing
  • On step 5 here the company ID is incorrect
