How to alert on important dates (with custom message & attachments)

If you want to receive alerts on important employee dates (ex. Hire Date, Review Dates), follow these steps:

  1. Go to MANAGE MY BUSINESS
  2. Go to MANAGE ALERTS
  3. Click on the IMPORTANT DATES tab
  4. Check off the date(s) you want to receive alerts for
    (ex. Hire Date, Employee Review 30 Days, etc.)
  5. Customize the alert (optional)Once enabled, you can expand the alert to customize it:
    • Click the [-] icon beside the alert
    • Alert managers this many days before the event

    Choose how far in advance the alert should be sent
    (ex. Same day, 1 day ahead, 7 days ahead, etc.)

    • Personal Message (optional – HTML allowed)

    Add a custom message that will appear in the alert email.

    • Attach a file (optional)

    Attach a file that will be included in the alert email.

    Examples:

    • Review forms
    • Policies
    • Onboarding documents
  1. Click SAVE

What managers will receive

Managers will receive an email that includes:

  • Employee name and department
  • Event type
  • Date
  • Your custom message (if added)
  • Any attached files (if added)
