By default, employees can NOT approve their own absence, availability or time cards.
If you want to change this:

  1. Go to MANAGE MY BUSINESS
  2. Go to MANAGE SECURITY GROUPS
  3. Check these options ON for whichever group you want to assign permission too

    Can approve their own absence request
    Can decline their own absence request

    Can approve their own availability request
    Can decline their own availability request

    Can approve their own time cards
