Templates – How To

If you have employees who work the same schedule week after week, templates can save you a significant amount of time. Instead of adding shifts one day at a time, a template lets you define a standard weekly schedule once and apply it to any employee in just a couple of clicks. Templates are set up under Manage My Business and can be reused as many times as you need.

Creating a Template

  1. Go to MANAGE MY BUSINESS
  2. Click MANAGE WEEKLY TEMPLATES
    NOTE – you can also create biweekly templates under MANAGE BIWEEKLY TEMPLATES
  3. Click ADD
  4. Give your template a recognizable name
  5. Check off the days the template applies to
  6. Enter the shift start and end times
  7. Click SAVE

Applying a Template

  1. Go to SCHEDULING
  2. Select the DEPARTMENT
  3. Find the employee you want to apply the template to
  4. Click the blue + beside their name
  5. Pick the template
    OPTIONAL

    • you can select multiple employees at the same time
    • you can uncheck days you don’t want to apply
  6. Click ADD

MANAGE WEEKLY TEMPLATES

It’s a good idea to create a template for each common shift pattern in your business — for example, a Weekday Day Shift or a Weekend Late Shift. The more templates you have set up, the faster your weekly scheduling becomes.
