This ONLY applies if you’ve set up to pay to the minute vs rounding to the 15min.
If an employee punches in within the grace periods and has no exceptions, the system will set the PAID hours to the ACTUAL and approve.
Example (no alerts – there are no other exceptions on meal or break)
- Grace period is 5 minutes for all actions
- Employee SCHEDULED is 8:00am-5:00pm
- Employee ACTUAL is 8:56am-5:01pm
- Employee PAID is 8:56am-5:01pm
- Time card is approved automatically
Example (alerts – employee punches 10mins late from meal)
- Grace period is 5 minutes for all actions
- Employee SCHEDULED is 8:00am-5:00pm
- Employee ACTUAL is 8:56am-5:01pm
- Employee PAID is 9:00am-5:00pm
- Time card is NOT approved automatically
