How does alerting work with roles?
If you’re not familiar with roles, read this article.
If you’re not familiar with secondary notifications, read this article.
When an employee triggers an alert (ex. absence request, late punch, early exit, etc) the role the employee reports too is checked.
Any employee in that role that ALSO manages the department of the requesting employee, is alerted.
Here is an example of that message:
When the absence is approved, the employee is alerted.
Here is an example of that message:
IF a manager in a higher role approves the alert, BOTH the employee and the manager the employee reports will be alerted.
Ex.
GM – Level 2
Supervisor – Level 3
Employee – Level 4
If the employee requests an absence, the Supervisor is alerted. If the GM approves the request, both the Employee and Supervisor are alerted.
