How do I restrict a select group of employees from punching in and out at a specific location

Typically punching in and out is restricted to a specific location. In those cases we recommend IP based blocking (or cookie if your IP changes frequently or is a shared IP – setup instructions can be found here.

However if you have specific employees who are off-site and can’t use the above restriction, the best way to restrict access is through geo-fencing.

To restrict BY EMPLOYEE, follow these steps

1. Enable geo-fencing
   1. If you’re using a desktop, review these steps
2. Go to EMPLOYEES
3. Find the employee you want to enable and click EDIT
4. Click the GEOFENCING tab
5. Check off
6. Click ADD NEW LOCATIO
7. Find the location, click ADD
