Understanding the Difference: Important Dates vs. Training Items
Table of Contents
While both features help you stay on top of employee tasks and alerts, they serve different purposes.
Important Dates are tied to key milestones in an employee’s lifecycle (like performance reviews) and are automatically based on their hire date.
Training Items/Groups are more flexible and are used for policies, certifications, or ongoing training that you assign manually – either once or on a recurring basis.
Use Important Dates for structured, one-time milestones.
Use Training Items/Groups for repeatable or custom training requirements.
