Why are my employees getting automatically punched out?

To make sure employee schedules don’t run indefinitely and inflate their timecard hours, TimeWellScheduled includes an automatic punch-out control.
Here’s how it works:
-
- Each department has a maximum shift length setting (for example, 10 hours).
-
- If an employee forgets to punch out, the system will automatically log them out 1 hour after the maximum shift length.
-
- As an example, if Department A’s maximum shift length is set to 10 hours, an employee who does not punch out will automatically be logged out at 11 hours.
This safeguard ensures that timecard reports stay accurate and employees aren’t accidentally shown as working far longer than they really did.
