By default TimeWellScheduled blocks employees from punching in early. The reason for this is many clients reporting employees being scheduled for say 9AM, arriving at 8:30AM, punching in and sitting around 30 minutes to start their work.
Although TimeWellScheduled wouldn’t add this time to their pay, ti added more work to approving timecards. When an employee punches in before their scheduled start, they will receive a message that says “You’re not scheduled to start until X:XX, the earliest you can clock in is Y:YY”.
However there are two ways to allow early punch ins.
- Increase the Department grace period to an appropriate amount of time before shift start.
- Manage My Business>>Manage My Departments, than choose edit for the dropdown.
