Time Cards

How do I NOT get alerts for employees who have paid meals

If you have some employees (managers) that are paid for meals whereas regular employees are not, you can still avoid time card alerts by overriding their department rules in their employee profile and setting their meal to 0.

Splitting a schedule in a time card

Sometimes you may have a schedule that needs to be split between 2 departments after the shift has been completed. As an example an employee was scheduled 8a-6p in CASH but worked from 9a-2p in CASH and 2p-6p in CUSTOMER SERVICE. To split the shift 1. Go to TIME CARD & PAYROLL 2. Go to […]

Adding comments to timecards

We’ve now added the ability for mangers/supervisors to add comments to timecards when they are approving a specific timecard. These comments will show on the timecard page with a special comments icon, and when you print/export as well.

When the system auto-clocks an employee out, what logic does it use?

If an employee forgets to clock out, the system will automatically clock them out. There are 2 scenarios the system will use to determine what end time to use: If the employee is scheduled Each department has a “Maximum shift length” value At the “Maximum shift length” if the employee has still not clocked out, […]

Any timecard that is approved will be green and have a blue checkmark to the far left. Check this blue checkmark and you […]

Pay extra time automatically

This is by design, so that any exceptions to the schedule have to be approved. If you schedule an employee to work from 9-5 and they leave at 5:30, the timecard will show they worked until 5:30, but only pay them until 5. You decide to extend it. However, you can have the system automatically […]

Negative hours

This can happen in very specific cases, when you allow shift splitting and employees can clock in early. In normal cases, here is how a shift split works. Employee Scheduled -12PM to 8PM Employee leaves at 3PM, arrives back at 5PM We calculate the schedule as 2 entries: 12PM-3PM (3hrs) 5PM-8PM (3hrs) The system automatically […]
